Earlier today, Travis County District Court Judge John Dietz denied legal efforts made by the Republican Governors Association and Texans for Rick Perry to dismiss a lawsuit that was brought against the entities by former Democratic Governor nominee Chris Bell. 

The lawsuit at issue stems from allegations by Chris Bell that the Perry campaign failed to accurately report campaign finance information, which in turn allegedly kept the public from knowing the true source of money that Governor Perry received in the final week of the 2006 campaign. 

What is at issue is $1,000,000.00 that the Perry Campaign received from the governor’s group in the final month of the campaign. Read more in today’s Statesman article.
