As recently reported in the San Antonio Express News, up to 30,000 people who were strip searched and booked into the Bexar County Jail in recent years may be entitled to money from a 4.5 million dollar class action lawsuit settlement.

Bexar County approved the settlement, which could compensate indiviiduals up to $1,000 each  who were strip searched and jailed in Bexar County between 2005 and 2009. 

The lawsuit was filed against Bexar County in 2005 by a law firm from Washington D.C. that had successfully sued other counties and jails. Other law firms are involved as well. To learn more about the lawsuit, check out the article in the San Antonio Express News.
