As recently reported in the San Antonio Express News, a federal Judge in San Antonio sanctioned DTND Sierra Investments and its law firm for filing what was referred to as a frivilous lawsuit to stop a foreclosure.

San Antonio Senior US Judge Henry Lee Hudspeth ordered the firm and company to pay $20,000.00 in sanctions to CitiMortgage and the Court’s registry.

According to the article, DTND would buy area homes in foreclosure and sue to stop mortgage companies from foreclosing on the homes so it could continue to collect rent.
