As reported extensively by the Rivard Report and other local media outlets, the San Antonio City Council approved by a vote of 9-0 a massive plan and major real estate deal between the City of San Antonio, Weston Urban and Frost Bank. The deal will bring a new office tower to downtown San Antonio, which will be the new corporate headquarters of Frost Bank.

As part of the deal, the city will take over the current Frost Bank headquarters and consolidate its operations and 1,200 employees in the building.

As part of the deal the Municipal Plaza building currently occupied by the city will be renovated with 65 new housing units by the year 2023.
