As recently reported in the Austin Business Journal, the Texas Supreme Court will hear an appeal of an Austin District Court decision regarding how Texas schools are funded.

As noted in the article, the Texas Supreme Court agreed to hear an appeal made by then Texas Attorney General Greg Abbott. A Travis County District Court ruled in favor of more than 600 school districts that sued the state in 2011 after the legislature made a $5 billion cut to school funding.

Arguments won’t be scheduled until after August 11, 2015.
