According to an article recently published in the San Antonio Express News, some Texas Democrats may be considering legal action to curb the recent education standards that were adopted largely among party lines by the Texas Board of Education. The new standards could potentially have a great impact, in that they could effect that way history books are written for many years to come. 

As noted in the article, ‘bitter debate has continued after a year long process that generated more than 40,000 pubic comments and a document cheered by supported for its underscoring of traditional history and the free enterprise system.’
