As recently reported in the Austin American Statesman, A Federal Judge in Austin denied bail for Austin nightclub owner Hussein Ali “Mike’ Yassine. As such, Hassine will remain in Federal custody.

Yassine and other suspects were jailed last week for being accussed of taking part in a drug ring. Allegedly, the ring was being operated out of the many downtown Austin clubs owned by Yassine. 

As noted in the Austin article, several business establishments located in downtown Austin were allegedly being used by Yassine to launder over $200,000.00 in cash which they believed to be the proceeds of narcotics trafficking. 

The company owned by Yassine, Yassine Enterprises, owns eight downtown Austin bars.
