Mr. Luce attended The University of Texas at Austin and St. Mary's University School of Law. In law school, he was the President of the Honor Society, Phi Delta Phi, a Balfour Scholar (only for 2 law students nationwide each year), and a member of The Law Review. Every one of his core class professors invited him to be their teacher assistant, an unprecedented honor. He was also awarded the Service Award by Sister Grace Walle, an award given to only one student each year for finding time to "give back" while many are consumed with only their studies.
Mr. Luce has since been able to sharpen his legal skills with some of the most elite law firms nationwide. He has also worked for the highly respected Fortune 200 company USAA. He drafted and negotiated contracts for USAA ranging from small contracts that were necessary to protect its best interest, to multi-million dollar highly complex contracts. At USAA, he was awarded an "exceeding expectations" rating for demonstrating "consistent excellence" in the contracts he drafted and negotiated and had a $25,000,000.00 signing authority at the conservative company.
Mr. Luce is licensed by the Supreme Court of Texas, member of the State Bar of Texas, the Federal Bar Association, United States Court of International Trade, San Antonio Young Lawyers Association, San Antonio Trial Lawyer Association, Texas Trial Lawyers Association, Phi Delta Phi International Legal Fraternity, and the Million Dollar Advocates Forum (1% of trial lawyers).
He is also an active member of South Texas MENSA, American MENSA, MENSA International, the Presbyterian Church, and the Aircraft Owners and Pilot Association.
Mr. Luce authored "How to Protect Your Legal Interests when Buying or Selling Real Estate in Mexico" and the 63 page joyous read "The Impact of House Bill 4 "paid or incurred" language on the Texas Collateral Source Rule."
When not working he loves to get involved with any project, be with family, play competitive tennis, travel, sail, pilot, and to "give back."
