The 85 MPH speed limit is the fastest in the nation and should ease traffic between Austin and San Antonio on IH 35. 

The cities of Austin and San Antonio have been growing towards each other and commuting between the cities has become more common. The new toll road serves as a new option to get from Austin to San Antonio faster.
