According to an article recently published by the San Antonio Express News and the San Antonio Business Journal, the parents of a former St. Mary’s School of Law student, Don and Betty Melaas, have donated $1,000,000.00 to start a scholarship in memory of their late daughter Deborah K. Melaas.

According to the article, Deborah had fond memories of her time spent at St. Mary’s School of Law and the scholarship will benefit 2nd year female law students at the law school in San Antonio, Texas.
