As recently reported in the San Antonio Express News, bankruptcy filings in South Texas have declined when compared with July 2011. There were 321 bankruptcy filings in July 2012, which is almost a 10% decline from the 352 filing in July 2011 that were reported in the Western District Court of Texas in San Antonio.

According to the San Antonio Western District Court, 153 personal Chapter 7 liquidation cased were filed last month, and two businesses filed for Chapter 7, which is the same number of businesses as in July 2011.
