As recently reported in the Austin American Statesman, a special prosecutor has been appointed to handle the criminal complaint that has been filed against Travis County District Attorney Rosemry Lehmberg.

San Antonio Judge David Peeples, who is presiding over the case, appointed Bill Turner, a former Brazos County district attorney as the special prosecutor in the Austin DA matter.  

A former Travis County district attorney candidate last month made a criminal complaint against Lehmberg alleging that she is guilty of obstruction as a result of her behavior after a drunken driving arrest.
