DLG Luce – Austin – Rick Perry Appoints Two New Attorneys To Fill Vacant Wilco Posts

On October 7, 2013, Texas Governor Rick Perry appointed two attorneys to fill two vacant Judge positions in Williamson County north of Austin.

Perry appointed Stacey Matthws of Austin as the 277th Judicial District Judge and RIck Kennon as Judge of the 368th Judicial Distirct.

Matthews, an Austin resident, takes over the judge’s seat that was held by Ken Anderson, a Williamson County Judge who resigned following allegations of misconduct for a 1980s murder case.

The new appointees will maintain the position until the 2014 election cycle.
