As reported in the Austin American Statesman, a local Austin attorney has filed a petition in Travis County Court to remove District Attorney Lehmberg from her position as the Travis County District Attorney following her DWI arrest last Friday.

The attorney, who is a former assistant Texas attorney general, was quoted as stating that he filed the Petition under an obscure Texas law because DA Lemberg indicated she was not going to resign.
