DLG Luce – Austin – Former WilCo Assistant District Attorney Anderson Resigns as District Court Judge

As recently reported today in tshe Austin American Statesman, Former Assistant District Attorney Ken Anderson resigned from his post as a District Court Judge in Williamson County, north of Austin, in the mist of controversy regarding his involvement in the overturned 1987 conviction of Michael Morton.

In a letter to Texas Governor Rick Perry, Anderson formally resigned without specifyng a reason.

Anderson is currently facing criminal charges linked to allegations that he hid evidence that could have spared Morton from a life sentence for murder. Morton spent 25 years in prison.
