As recently reported in the Austin American Statesman, a Federal Judge has recently rejected an AT&T attorney’s bid to obtain a temporary restraining order from the Court against Verizon Wireless related to its new Christmas phone ads. Basically, AT&T is claiming that Verizon’s depiction of an AT&T map that shows less ‘3G’ coverage than Verizon is deceptive in that it contends consumers may be confused that the maps show only where coverage is received, not merely only where ‘3G’ coverage is received. 

However, the Federal Judge did schedule another hearing on December 16th, which will effectively give the lawyers for AT&T another shot at making their legal argument.
