As recently reported in the Huffington Post, a Federal Court Judge in Virginia denied Texas Presidential Candidate Rick Perry’s request to be included on the Virginia Primary ballot. In what was a nearly four hour hearing in Court, United States District Court Judge John A. Gibney stated that ‘if the candidates thought the law was unconstitutional they should have challenged it when they first began their campaigns in Virginia rather than waiting until after they failed to quality.’

An attorney for Rick Perry, Joseph Michael Nixon, stated that no immediate decision had been made on whether or not Perry will appeal. 

Rick Perry sued last month in Federal Court after he failed to submit the required amount of signatures to be included on the Virginia ballot.
