As recently reported in the Austin American Statesman, Baylor University Medical Center and Health Texas Provider Network have agreed to pay approximately $907,000.00 to settle legal allegations of submitting false claims to the government. 

The Department of Justice annouced the agreement earlier today. According to the article, there were allegations against Baylor and Health Texas for double billing for various treatment, lack of documentation and improper documentation for some services.

The article noted that Baylor Health Care System stated that the matter was settled to avoid protracted and expensive litigation.
