As recently reported in the Austin American Statesman, the former local chapter of Kappa Alpha at the University of Texas at Austin has been sued by its national administrative office in Travis County Distirct Court. The local chapter broke ties with the national organization after it was suspended in June by the national organization according to the Austin American Stateman article.
According to the article, the former chapter is alleged to have engaged in hazing and using profesional exotic dancers performing live sex acts for recruitment purposes. In its lawsuit, the national administrative office has demanded that the new fraternity turn over revenue, dues and accounts collected before July 22 and all furnishings, artwork and equipment in the fraternity house.
